Over the past year or so, I have been sending pieces of flash fiction to Bea Hutchings, who has broadcast them on her arts programmes on Riviera FM. Many of the pieces are new, although some have won competitions and therefore have been published previously. Right from the beginning, I thought it would be nice to bring them together in an ebook; the title wrote itself; Colin Avery designed the great cover; and just like that, Flashing on the Riviera was born.

There are differing views of what constitutes flash fiction. It might be 50, 500 or even 1000 words long. But essentially it is a short piece of fiction that makes a whole story in itself. It has grown in popularity in recent years and has spawned a raft of competitions and publications.

25th June 2016 is National Flash Fiction Day, so what better time could there be for launching a collection of flash fiction. Flashing on the Riviera is a gift from me to my readers and to the listeners to Riviera FM, a great little Community Radio Station based in Torbay in Devon. The book is completely free and will remain so permanently. It is available in a range of formats (including epub; mobi; and pdf) and can be found on a variety of distribution platforms.

You can find it on: Smashwords; on Barnes & Noble; on Kobo; and on Inktera. Additional links can be found on other ebook providers. Happy National Flash Fiction Day – and enjoy my collection.
