Another Year Closes

For several years, it’s been my custom to spend November beavering away at NaNoWriMo and then begin my winter break on 1st December. And this year has been no different. In the past twenty-one days, I’ve finished all the preparations for the influx of guests we’re expecting from this weekend. But I’ve also taken time to sing carols at every possible opportunity; relax and chat with friends; and make contact with those folks who are never forgotten, even if we only speak once a year.

December, for me, is a time to slow down, eat, drink, laugh and sleep (not necessarily in that order). However you celebrate the end of one year and the transition to another, I hope you are having a great time.

Here’s to a happy, healthy and peaceful New Year for us all.
